Wensum balsam project – call for sightings
Friday July 30th, 2021 - Sunday October 31st, 2021
In partnership with the Norfolk Non-Native Species Initiative and Anglian Water, we’re working on a project to control, and where possible, eradicate Himalayan balsam from the Wensum river catchment by 2025.
A key element of the project is to conduct surveys across the whole Wensum catchment to establish a baseline of balsam presence. This will help inform our control team and volunteers on where to focus efforts – particularly in the river’s headwaters and tributaries.
