Water quality in rivers: an utterly damning report

Today, the House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee has published an utterly damning report on water quality in English rivers, and laid bare the shocking harm it’s doing to people and wildlife. Along with highlighting huge failures and shortcomings in the protection of rivers across both public and private sectors, the report also recommends significant changes to address the chronic pollution of our precious rivers.
