Replenishing fresh water for UK nature

Norfolk Rivers Trust has been selected as the delivery partner for the Carlsberg and WWF partnership to help selected farmers replenish up to 100 million litres of fresh water (more than 175 million pints) to help UK nature thrive.

Project aims

Our approach will involve:

• Working with farmers across Norfolk and the Cam and Ely Ouse (CamEO) river catchments to identify opportunities to reduce river pollution and improve water management.
• Providing advice and grant support to implement water sensitive farm measures including cover and companion cropping, reduced cultivations, buffer strips, silt traps and wetland creation.
• Hosting events and workshops to share knowledge, best practice and potential solutions.
